umm, I'm not at all scary, the damn thing is messed up. why am I doing the stupid meme anyways -- oh yeah, cause I don't want to be vacuuming out my car so I can take it to the shop to get an estimate that'll mostly likely be 2 times more than what the car is worth. life sucks sometimes. maybe I can be scary to the other guy's insurance company, that'd be something at least. sigh.

Journal settings meme
1. My username is _____ because ______.
Phythia... I'm guessing because xix or xixstar was taken by the time I got around to lj. I'm only here to read my friends' pages, so I didn't think it mattered to much - however, it does occasionally make friend-ing people difficult since there is no connection between phythia and any of my other names. Oh well, it'll continue to do for now, i guess, because it's not like I'm going to ever change it.

Karen. Suzanne. Suz. Karen Suzanne. Karen. because I can't make up my mind.
It's Karen to family because thats what my momma wanted to call me. It's Suzanne to many friends made after 2000 (but before 2006) because when I left South Dakota and ended up in Wisconsin, I decided to change my name along with everything else I was changing.
Then I got in with a crazy pagan-burner crowd and my good buddy BobbyG started calling me Sooooooooooze all the time, so then it was Suz to mostly burner friends. It stayed Suz when I moved to Maryland since I met everyone through burner channels. Then when I went back to college at UMD it was Karen or Suzanne or Karen Suzanne depending on how much energy I had when I was meeting someone new (and when I didn't feel like correcting instructors).
By the time I was done with college, I was pretty committed to Karen Suzanne - and thats what I used at my first and second post-college jobs. And around that time, I also got married and decided to change my last name -- not cause I'm a big fan of last name changes, but because Henderson wasn't my maiden name and keeping it seemed odd -- and I decided that I really didn't like Suzanne Daniel, so I went back to using Karen primarily. Sometimes I'll use Karen Suzanne, sometimes just Karen, but to most of my friends, i still expect Suz and it sure sounds strange when they call me anything else.
Who knew name could be so complicated.

suz because maybe then there would be some connection to the unrelated username. That and I don't actually use lj other than the very occasional meme and so didn't think a name mattered.

Made myself a full-length dress/outfit.

I was really into the beginning of the sopranos but it sort of fizzled out at the end.

Good question... I'd need an actual memory to recall any.

none, I'm not into music at all.

I'd have to say that the Woodsman was the best one that I've seen this year. But for a favorite, that would be an play/musical actually, Oliver! at the Olney Theatre.

I did not go to Mt. Everest like I wanted, they closed. Instead we went for sushi, damn that was a long time ago.
32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
I've gotten so much this year, I need nothing more. I've gotten a great deal more than I've shared yet with anyone and looks like it'll be 2006 before I do.
33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2005?
I started to wear jeans again, I didn't realize how much I'd missed them. Comfortable, casual.
34. What kept you sane?
smiles and lack of stress.
35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
Well, it has really been Chris Noth this year from Sex in the City. Just watched "The Perfect Man" that he also played in, and I'd have to say it was really the character in Sex in the City because he didn't have the same lure in that film.
36. What political issue stirred you the most?
oh the list could go on and on, sadly I'm turning to the head in the sand approach to prevent the ached of disbelief and disappointment in what is happening.
